Are you looking for a zero waste store in St Pete and the surrounding area? You’re in luck! We have a few to choose from.
These shops focus on low-to-no packaging, refill stations, and non-toxic ingredients. They also sell items that make your life more sustainable, like reusable straws, bamboo cutlery, and plastic-free toothbrushes + razors.
Shopping at a zero waste store makes it so much easier to live a green lifestyle. You can take your containers to get refills of things like laundry detergent + body wash and pick up other items that you might not even know you need.
Sans Market : Your Downtown Destination for Zero Waste
Located in the Edge District on Central Ave, Sans Market is all about living sans (without) plastic, packaging and toxins. I am so impressed with the range in their selection. They have everything from acne treatment to household cleaning supplies to shave soap.
They’re also super helpful and knowledgeable about sustainable living. Check out one of their monthly workshops to make some lasting changes to your lifestyle (they’re on hold for now), and be sure to follow on IG for #TopicTuesdays!
The Refillery : The First Zero Waste Store in St Pete
The Refillery is in the Tyrone/Jungle Prada area, just off of Tyrone Blvd N. If you couldn’t already tell by the name, their focus is on their refill stations. You can bring your own container, or purchase one of theirs, and fill it with laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner, sunscreen, shower gel, and way more. They have a bunch of other products, as well as a wide selection of raw ingredients for your DIY needs.
LUFKA : Tampa Bay’s OG Zero Waste Store + Product Maker
Ok, Lufka is technically in Tampa, but it was the first zero waste store in St Pete and its surrounding area. Plus, some of their products are sold in other local shops. The vast majority of their products are handmade here in Tampa Bay and their signature Lufka washcloths are woven by hand in Iraq.
Lufka has been making products since 2015 and opened their Tampa store in 2018. They sell pretty much everything you could need for sustainable body + skin care. They have basics like soap and deodorant, but their collection also includes things like face masks, toners and moisturizers for various needs. I haven’t seen a more complete zero waste beauty/skin care collection in one place.
